The festivals, etc.. My apologies to the festival organizers too, it SUCKS when people
"fuck" with your money. I indeed understand... Regardless, We will venture onward in attempts to rock the shows that are not cancelled for their own economic reasons. Our live set up is stripped down but that just means it's twice as loud. "Diamond Watch Wrists" will not be able to play these shows - We have to tour separately in order to get out there AND we WILL!!! However, "Dimlite" will take the weight regardless and he will kill it. The dates in front of us are in the "TOUR" section.

WHOA... I want to say this means a ton to me!! It means more right now than ever actually. Not on some selfish - competitive way opposed to reading something that simply acknowledged the fact that I have worked my ass off for years and someone simply took the the time to take note of it. It's the same feeling I get when I'm playing for a younger audience and they ask me if I have a record out or a "my space page" to check out. It's flattering as much as it is funny to me.
Honestly, at this very moment I have been doing nothing more than micro managing all of these upcoming releases for this 2009 year and not one aspect of doing this can I consider easy - I'm dropping possibly more than I've ever released at once. This has brought on such a ridiculous amount of administrative work from coordinating the concepts behind where and what makes sense regarding: (errgh) budgets, all the artwork, patience(I try), press related things we must do, organizing tours, one offs, letting friends know that I'm just crazy busy but still love them the same. After reading this article, I was humbled but then I realized it was truly researched to the point that I already forgot about some of the things I have done on a more smaller level.. word up to "better propaganda" - and hi-five to my fucking fans.
On the Top 100 records of the decade, I got #2... Can't believe it. I feel completely humbled.

Happy Holidays... Hope everyone is good. A semi-quick news update for the upcoming year:
The new Prefuse 73 record is done and on it's way + an e.p. too via Warp Records... The record is entitled: "Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian." - the e.p. is appropriately entitled: "The Forest of Oversensitivity"... The L.P. was recorded and mastered all analog and we're all really happy in Prefuse world... In "Savath y Savalas" world, Stone's Throw records is releasing our album: "La Llama" and e.p. called: "Masia"... We spent over a year waiting to find this record a home we felt good about, then along came our friends from: L.A. to save the day... After all should be said and done, it isn't. "Diamond Watch Wrists" (myself with Zach Hill on drums) has a record dropping on WARP records as well, entitled: "Ice Capped on Both Ends" There is a shit ton of touring this year as well... Diamond Watch Wrists will open for the Prefuse 73 shows starting in early spring worldwide. We will then do a full Savath y Savalas tour U.S./E.U./S.America after I collapse from the previous tours but will most likely do Savath y Savalas "one offs" before then... B.T.W. - Since I love my Japanese fans so much, you guys got an exclusive Prefuse release just because I want to... I know this seems like an overload, but I spent all of last year working ridiculously hard on all of these projects, staying broke, laying low instead of dropping one thing after the other. I needed to focus.. call it a hiatus, I don't know what to call it - Now it's a big blowout just in time for our fantastic economic woes. However you spend this time of year - even if nothing = Peace to you all!!!!!
